Hi everyone and welcome to the Mirror’s Edge Catalyst community! My name is Vincent Vukovic and I am very happy to be your Community Manager. I’m based in Stockholm, Sweden at the studio and have the privilege to work with the talented team creating the game -- a dream come true for me.

The last few months have been, to say the least, very exciting for us. At E3 we showed a trailer to set the mood and further introduce you to both Faith and the beautiful, but yet dark world she lives in. We’ve grown very fond of Faith and while she’s a careless young runner in the beginning of the game, she’ll become a formidable hero through the choices she’ll have to make along the path.

Gameplay 

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst was on fire at E3 and we’re humbled by all the awards we received. However, we know that you want to see gameplay and that’s exactly what you will be getting at gamescom 2015. 

In Cologne, Germany we’ll show you a new trailer as well as have the game playable on the floor for those that can make it to the show. Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel so you don’t miss the new trailer. We can’t wait to hear what you think about the things we’ll have to show you! 

Also, we know that you've been wondering a few things. Below you can find some of the most asked questions and answers:

1. Is Mirror's Edge Catalyst a prequel, a sequel or something entirely else?
As we got ready to bring the franchise to a new generation, we wanted to take the core of the first game, the unique first person gameplay and style, and make it even better. We’ve carefully re-evaluated every aspect of the game to make it a new experience that will honor the first game, but also bring a lot of new, interesting gameplay and features to our fans. In terms of the story, this is Faith’s origin story, you’ll experience her journey from being a carefree runner to the heroine who is the catalyst for change

2. Is Mirror's Edge Catalyst a free-roaming game and what does that mean?
In between the story missions, you'll be able to freely roam in the beautiful, high-tech city of Glass at your own pace and without any loading screens. Explore every corner from the highest, glass made skyscrapers to the hidden underground tunnels and take on different challenges that will put your runner skills to the test.

3. When is it going to be released and for what platform?
I'm happy to tell you that Mirror's Edge Catalyst will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on Origin starting February 23rd (North America) and February 25th 2016 (Europe). Check http://mirrorsedge.com/ for more information.
